EAR Studio is an analog/digital recording facility located on East 11th street about a mile from downtown Austin, TX.  The studio features a large cutting room boasting an 18 ft cathedral ceiling and a roomy isolation booth, providing plenty of breathing room for even the rowdiest of rock and roll outfits.   Hovering above, the spacious and naturally lit control room lends a bird’s eye view to the happenings below.  At the helm is a well maintained and modified MCI JH636 console pushing 2 inch 24 or 16 track tape, or 24 I/O of SSL conversion into Pro Tools 9 or Logic Pro.  A beautiful EMT 140st plate reverb provides the afterglow.   Many great restaurants and bars dot the surrounding neighborhood, although we prefer to stick to the al pastor tacos from Arandas and the fresh libations from the Longbranch Inn.  We think it’s a very inspiring and fun place to make music.  Give us a shout!
